What do you say to simple dogfights or coops in Korea on Thursday nights until this crud gets worked out?

When is 4.10m coming out, and by extension...the new HSFX?? Two weeks have passed!

I would say a coop or dogfight would be nice. Have to see what the brass says.

Hey Flat, have you seen some of the neat things that can be done with Zuti's 1.12 MDS?? You (the server) can control the number of times a person can respawn - if at all should you desire - so it could be run much like a coop, but with the added benefit of being able to recover and rearm/refuel and even repair certain damage - all with a selectable time delay. With say, a 2-3 hour time limit, a bunch of guys could have a lot of fun and do a lot of damage in that time. Radar, icons, maps, all kinds of possibilities for an organized campaign.

It wouldn't take much effort, or take all that long for a couple of us (your side and ours) to come up with a Korean map to fight over. Think it over.

If it can be implemented on both Ultrapack and HSFX 4.2b without a hitch that would be awesome! Should we start the email-trail going again?

I'm pretty tied up right now with a new aircraft certification project. We're getting a new Crane certified with a new AFCS (auto pilot) and an NVG compatible cockpit! I've been spending several nights this week in the office. I'm there now, waiting for it to get dark enough to go fly.:drunk:

But things should be getting back to normal by mid week next. So, yes, let's start an email trail. If you'd like, build me a coop with the bases you want to use with an aircraft ea. of what you want to fly, and place AAA, preferrably in the same numbers that we have restrictions for in SE, around your key strategic targets, such as Pyongyang, Hamhung, etc. Then send it to me. I'll make it into an MDS with our stuff on it then I'll send it back to you. You will need Zuti's 1.12 though to open it.

Sounds like normal summer time operations to me...we all, for the most part, work careers with some crazy seasonality to them and as always the family commitments vastly increase during the summer months. I think some organized dog fight time for the summer would be just what the doctor ordered. Sounds like a lot of fun...

That's the tricky part...is that available for HSFX4.2beta?

I don't believe we will have working versions of MDS until the new 4.10m comes out which should be soon. They have been beta testing for some time now but have ran into trouble with some key people being on vacations and other issues. HSFX has been beta testing there version also but won't release it until 4.10m is finalized. I think we need to wait until this time comes so we all have the same versions. Also MDS will be part of the 4.10m install, not HSFX or UP2.XX like it is now.

So........if we go with 4.10, we're talking about a completely stock install, right? I mean, no mods other than what the Dadaelious (sp?) team have put into their patch. Is that what we're talking about?

I think what we'll be looking at is that MDS will be part of the game rather than an add-on mod...so we'll still want mods to get our Korea environment (planes, wind...) but MDS will be hard-wired into the game. That bodes well for HSFX users as the HSFX modders were never very interested in making MDS work in their mod...now they will have no choice.

HSFX4.2 has the Zuti 1.01_UP version or v0.8 DSMod. I think Cobraj has already confirmed the community's findings that Zuti 1.12 is not compatible with HSFX4.2b.

So what are we to do? This Thursday we could throw up one of the maps Hatter sent (SEOW Prep) and call it good for just an Air Mosh-pit with ground targets for us Jabo/ShAPpers. That ought to be good for an hour and a half or two. Settings for us: HSFX/AG-51 Campaign Mod v0.1.

Not really. The 4.10m patch will include MDS in the patch. HSFX will then have a new version based on 4.10m which will most likely have all there MOD switches like before. This may include or should include a new MDS switch in HSFX install which will switch the version to MDS.
